Boston Scrub: The Production Process of Medical scrub 2024
Medical scrub is not only a kind of work clothing, but also the first line of defense for the safety of medical staff. To make a high-quality medical scrub, we need to take it seriously from fabric selection to garment sewing. This article will take you to an in-depth understanding of the entire production process of Boston medical scrub.

Boston Scrub Fabric selection
In order to ensure the comfort and functionality of medical scrubs, in production process,we did a lot of research and experiments, and finally chose a polyester-cotton blended fabric with 65% polyester and 35% cotton. This fabric has the advantages of both polyester and cotton, good elasticity and wear resistance in dry and wet conditions, stable size, small shrinkage, and is not easy to wrinkle, easy to wash, and quick to dry. It is very suitable for high-intensity working environments.
In addition to the selection of fabric components, the fabrics of Boston medical scrub also have specific functional requirements.
Medical scrub fabrics must have good antibacterial properties to prevent the spread of germs through clothing.
Medical scrub fabrics must be breathable and wear-resistant. This ensures comfort and durability during long-term work.
Medical scrub fabrics must be bleach-resistant, so Boston fabrics use a special dyeing process that can withstand industrial washing up to 60 times, and can withstand chlorine bleaching, and will not change color after washing.

Medical scrub design and pattern making
Our designers take many factors into consideration during the design process, such as the wearer’s work needs, comfort requirements, and functional requirements. Therefore, Boston medical scrub is usually designed reasonably so that medical staff can move freely during work. The design of cuffs, collars and other parts is also protective and comfortable.
After the design is completed, the pattern maker will make a paper sample of each component according to the design drawing, and adjust the size and style through sample making and fitting. Sample making is the process of verifying whether the design and pattern making meet the requirements, and it is also the stage of discovering problems and making improvements.
At present, we have 9 main styles, men’s wear, women’s wear, long sleeves, short sleeves, with different designs and colors

Fabric cutting and sewing
After the fabric enters the factory, we use the four-point inspection method to inspect whether there are problems such as damage, stains, weaving defects, color difference, etc. Fabrics that can’t meet the requirements will not be put into production.
Fabrics that pass the quality inspection must be loosened for 24 hours. After the loosening is completed, they can be cut.
After the fabric is cut, it will be checked for problems. If there are no problems, it will be sewn.

During the sewing process, special attention should be paid to the strength and aesthetics of the stitching. The stitching of medical scrub must be strong to cope with high frequency of washing and wearing and taking off.
In addition, special processes are required for the stitching of certain parts such as cuffs and collars to ensure the comfort of the wearer.
Quality control runs through the entire sewing process. Workers will regularly check the stitching quality of each piece of clothing to ensure that the finished garment is not untied or damaged.
Throughout the production process, we use the latest fully automatic equipment, such as Fully automatic cloth inspection machine, Fully automatic cutting machine, buried holder machine, etc.

Garment inspection and packaging
After sewing, the medical scrubs are ironed to ensure the flatness of the garments, and then the threads are trimmed to ensure the neat appearance of the garments.
After the garments are processed, they will undergo a series of rigorous quality checks, including size measurement, stitching strength test, color fastness test and functional test. We will send the medical scrubs to SGS, Intertek, BV, etc. for quality inspection to ensure that the quality of the medical scrub is qualified.
The qualified medical scrubs will be packaged according to the order requirements. Usually, the medical scrubs will be individually packaged with clear labels to ensure that the products remain clean during transportation and can be properly stored before use.

Transportation
Finally, the medical scrubs are sent to the warehouse. We have long-term friendly cooperation with logistics companies, so we can optimize the distribution process to ensure that every product can reach the customer in time.
The production process from fabrics to medical scrubs involves many complex links, and every step is crucial.
We continue to innovate and improve technology, and strive to improve the quality of our products to better protect the health and safety of medical staff.
